Doug - Reward Needed

A koala joey, called Doug, sadly died during surgery after being shot twice in Morayfield. Our rescuers were devastated to find the 940 gram boy had two bullets inside his little body.

His mother has had a bullet removed from her leg and is recovering well. The maximum penalty foracts like this is $ 300,000 or 2 years in jail.

Moreton Bay Koala Rescue hopes that a reward will offer an incentive to anyone who can come forward with any information that will lead to the prosecution and conviction of the perpetrators.

Local MP's and councillors have taken the lead and we already had some anonimous donations. We are aiming to raise $ 5,000.
